Anne-Geneviève LEMARCHAND

Alto | CRR de Grenoble

Anne-Geneviève Lemarchand started music with violin and then discovered the viola for which she became passionate. At the CRR de Rouen she obtained First Prizes in viola and chamber music. Simultaneously, she studied musicology at the University of Rouen. She then entered the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles in the class of Erwin Schiffer, where she obtained the First Prize and then the Diplôme Supérieur. She continues her training at the occasion of masterclasses with Bruno Giuranna and Youri Bashmet. Passionate about teaching and holder of a Certificat d'Aptitude very early on, she taught viola and chamber music in Tourcoing and then at the CRR de Grenoble. She published with Jean Lenert « l'ABC du jeune altiste » at Billaudot publishing. Alongside teaching, her music career led her to work with various orchestras (Opéras de Rouen and Lille, Orchestre National de Lille, Orchestre des Pays de Savoie…). But chamber music takes a major part in her musical life, with various ensembles. She founded in 2009 the Bagatelle Trio with Daniela Mizzi, piano and Pierre Dubier, clarinet. =
